Through five years of development, and with focus on strategic emerging industries, Scientific Cooperation Base has developed the following four leading industries:
Information Technology Industry
The operating systems of cloud computation, Internet of things, industrial Internet, intelligent hardware and other sectors are undergoing research, development, incubation and practical application. The data-base services for big data application and the middleware for industrial application are under stepped-up development. IT services, software counseling and solutions, and the business process outsourcing (BPO) are greatly promoted. All these efforts are directed to building up an all-around IT service composite pattern for global development of “software + service”, and a series of Internet-based crowd-innovating spaces.
Testing and Detecting Industry
The gene detection, equipment testing, building material testing are developed in clusters. Those involved institutes are encouraged to provide not only single conformity assessment service, but also composite conformity assessment service, and to scale up their capacities and enhance their brands. Firms in testing drug metabolism gene and detecting cancer mutation gene are actively brought in as key programs, while other leading firms in comprehensive gene sequencing services are being attracted in, so as to carry out research and development on gene detection techniques for major diseases such as genetic disease, tumor, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, and infectious disease.
Military-Civilian Integrated Industry
In order to step up the two-way transfer of science and technology between the defense and civilian sector, key industries in aerospace, aviation and electronic information are being integrated between the military and civilian departments. Based on the practical conditions, we took the opportunity of the establishment of the Provincial Military-Civilian Integrated Industrial Federation, to cultivate a series of professional supporting firms for “civilian firms to join military development”. The military entities with competence are also encouraged to jointly establish key laboratory for both military and civilian purpose, pilot-scale testing base and engineering center with Shaanxi-based universities, colleges and research institutes.
Big Health Industry of Biomedicine
By the endeavors of existing medicine R&D firms in the park, a wide range of products could be developed covering medicine and health-care new materials, medical devices, medicinal products, health equipment and health products. It strives to carry out more cooperation with internationally renowned medical R&D service centers and innovation bases in diverse ways and at multiple levels, to promote the development pattern of complementary advantages and benign interactions. The supporting system for industrial chain is under accelerated construction, and a biomedical technology transfer center is being built up with focus on “integration of three medical sectors” of drug, medical science and therapy, and “cross-border integration” between Internet and biomedical technology.
